The Avro Anson plane was a British twin-engined, multi-role aircraft. The first flight was on the 24 March 1935, and it was retired on 28 June 1968.
The 71st squadron has been used 3 times: Royal Flying Corps for an Australian flying corps squadron in WWI; WWII as in Eagle Squadron; Post-war as a fighter bomber unit under the command of Royal Air Force Germany.
