About this objectMounted on a tapered rectangular shaped brown plaque is the badge of HMAS Gull.
. The Badge consists of a fibreboard backing faced with a blue plasticised face.
mounted on the backing is at the top a sailing ship in gold over a Black scroll with the word Gull in gold letters. the centre has rope circle with a black background with a white gull in the centre. below the circle is the naval emblem a boomerang, crossed stone nulla nulla and a stone axe.
The bottom scroll is black with safe waters in gold

Purchased by RAN in 1961. Commenced service as HMAS Gull in1963. Decommissioned in 1969
