About this objectI bought this pick at the old Tuena store many years ago. It appears that it has not been used, maybe someone will fit a suitable handle. The handle was short to allow the user to work in confined spaces and generally it was for digging mine shafts just large enough to allow the digger to move around, without great difficulty. If "Good Colours" appeared in the miners dish, then a windless was erected to wind the dirt to the top for washing. If the signs were good, then sometimes the original shaft was enlarged.
