About this object(i) Box, cardboard stapled.
(ii) Rising Sun badges (8 pcs) metal. 3 with pin. 5 can be stitched to clothing or attached with clasp.
(iii) Dog taqs, set of 3 - No 1751. Each made from a different metal: brass, aluminium, copper.
(iv) Buttons "AUSTRALIAN MILITARY FORCES" and map of Australia with royal crown above stamped (7 pcs). Made by K.G. Luke Pty Ltd. Shank button with brass cotter pins. 20mm diameter.
(v) Buttons "AUSTRALIAN MILITARY FORCES" and map of Australia with royal crown above stamped (2 pcs). Shank button with brass cotter pins (1 missing). 16mm diameter.
(vi) A crowned gilt bronze badge with two lugs on back. The badge is stamped with the rising sun behind a crown; below on cartouche, AUSTRALIAN MILITARY FORCES; below, A.I.F; around, ISSUED BY DEPT. OF DEFENCE, RETURNED FROM ACTIVE SERVICE. Reverse stamped, 94846.
(vii) British War Medal 1914-192. Circular medal with the effigy of George V on the obverse. Around the edge are the words "GEORGIVS V BRITT. OMN:REX ET IND:IMP:"
The reverse image has St. George on horseback trampling underfoot the eagle shield of the Central Powers and a skull and crossbones, the emblem of death. Above this is the risen sun of victory. "1914 and 1918" around the outside edge. Diameter 35mm.
(viii) Brooch sweetheart. Gilt rising sun brooch with pin on reverse. Rectangular enamel colour patch with red on top and blue below split diagonally, has a white enamel border.
(ix) Badge, shield shaped white, blue & red enamel. Image in centre depicts 2 soldiers. "44" on crown at top of badge. "RETURNED SAILORS & SOLDIERS IMPERIAL LEAGUE","AUSTRALIA" on cartouche at bottom of badge. Number printed on reverse "A5 2507".
(x) Australian Army shoulder badges. Curved Metal Shoulder Badges. (Two curved lines with "AUSTRALIA" between). Cotter pins are attached (1 missing). Length 55mm, width 15mm.
