About this objectThe mangle has two large wooden rollers through which linen was passed to extrude water from laundered items especially linen. This large mangle is made for a commercial laundry rather than home laundering.
(i) The frame is made from cast iron frame with a crank handle to operate the cogs which increase pressure to the rollers. The two knobs/screws on the top are used to adjust the space between the rollers depending on the thickness of the fabric.
(ii) The draming tray is made from wood and is hinged. It is detachable from the mangle.
