About this objectThe shield is made from timber with a chain for hanging on wall on the back. it has 17 small metal plaques awarded to Junior Cricket Clubs from 1951 to 1957.
A metal cartouche on the top of the shield has "Commins Shield" engraved on it. A decorative disc in the centre is surrounded by an olive leaf wreath and features a cricket batsmen in the centre.
