Frederick Norman Rauchle was awarded from King of Belgium, The Croix de Guerre, he was also nominated for the Military Medal.
In 1937 he was chosen as one of a contingent of Australian soldiers to attend the coronation of King George VI in England thus becoming the first Australian to stand guard at Buckingham Palace.
