1 narrow glass cylinder with screw top of 'Vernaid - fast edge' Ribbon gauze for plugging, 12 yards x half inch thick - Vernaid and Co. Ltd, Preston. Superfine. English manufacturer, Registered Trade Mark.
1 brown glass jar screw lid containing suture needle and thread in cotton wool, 1 silver clamp, 1 screw.
1 glass phial with cork stopper of 17 tablets of T.T. Mercury Binio side 1-8 gram.
1 stainless steel instrument with cross hatching on shaft for grip and 2 smooth ends - one thicker and with a hole and the other end a thinner rod.
1 gun-like looking implement, handle is a non-conductive material (brown) with 2 holes drilled from front to back. Protruding from the front holes are 2 copper rods bound together with copper wire. From the 2 back holes the wires coming from the rods are taped together and form an electrical cord, the end of the cord shows 2 insulated (red and black) leads with wires protruding from each.
1 small compressed cotton wool bale (1 ounce), British made by Greenhalgh's Pty Ltd, Sydney, Melbourne, Wellington, N.Z.
3 circles of absorbent paper (perhaps filter paper)

1 glass beaker packed with cotton wool containing a glass implement bulb contains a blob of mercury in the tube but also liquid mercury in the bulb at the base. In the top section on one side are the words 'Diabetes 60 degrees F W', the other side is a scale 0-60.
Above implement x 2 - urinometer.
1 rubber test tube stopper with a stainless steel hollow tube through the middle which branches into 2 at the top.
1 packet with stethoscope ends with round disk (maybe) plastic

1 metal surgical instrument with 4 ridged silver handle (Allen and Hanburys, London) 52 written on handle. Instrument has a scabbard covering a needle with a long shaft.
The needle shaft protrudes from end of shaft.

1 black metal tin (round) with lid containing strands of nylon-type strands, perhaps suture material.
