About this objectEscort Rock is located 6kms east of Eugowra on The Escort Way towards Cudal (midway between Forbes and Orange). The outcrop of rocks (Eugowra Rocks) and the diversion of the old road around a boggy section adjacent the Mandagery Creek is the area of study. At this location Frank Gardiner’s gang of bushrangers held up the gold coach on 15th June 1862.
