The interior of the box is black and contains electrical circuitry on the hinged lid, and inside a moulded stand with three plastic coloured lenses on top. The lamb has an external metal casing and glass covering the bulb.
There are various metal labels, including on the side of the lamp, 'LAMP / SIGNALLING DAYLIGHT / SHORT RANGE / PROJECTOR MK II / STROMBERG CARLSON / SERIES NO 20573 / 1942".
