The photograph is mounted by white cardboard and it has a brown wooden frame with a perspex cover.
Across the top of the mounting board is written in black pen, 'Those Rugged Bloody Heroes'. There is a gold metal label at the bottom of the mounting board, 'Presented to Lionel Smith on the occasion of the Official Opening of the Orange Ex-Services Club, Kokoda Lounge, on the 29th November, 1998.'
