About this objectKhaki wool army battle dress jacket with two button down breast pockets, two button down side pockets, and five buttons down the front. There are button down epaulettes, with metal badge 'AUSTRALIA' insignia on them. All buttons are black metal and inscribed 'Australian Military Forces' with a crown above a map of Australia.
There is an "Australian Commonwealth Military Forces" black metal rising sun badge on the left collar. and 2/19th Battalion colour patches on both sleeves, consisting of green and red diamonds in a grey horizontal oval. On the right sleeve are corporal's stripes and five blue service chevrons.
In the right hand front pocket are:
1. Metal breast service medal ribbons
2. A card in a plastic cover, which has written on it "Courtesy / P R Wellington - Former - NX 55612. Corporal 2/19th Battalion. 8th Division. 2nd AIF. July 1940-January 1945.
