All the pockets are secured with a plastic domed button. Four plastic black domed buttons secure the front of the jacket. All buttons have a crown and an eagle beneath imprinted on the top of it.
On the end of the sleeves are metal insignia and two striped ribbons encircling the cuffs. Two embroidered cloth badges on the right shoulder, "AUSTRALIA" and "BRITISH COMMONWEALTH FORCES", and one cloth "AUSTRALIA" badge on the shoulder of the left sleeve. There is a cloth label "M TX" sewn into the collar. The jacket has a split back.
The jacket has a 50 mm wide navy cloth belt with a black plastic rectangular buckle with two prongs. The belt has two leather straps on the inside to secure it to the jacket keepers with a blue flat circular button.
