About this objectLarge hard green painted wooden suitcase, with canvas covering and four women ribs on the outside with domed tacks and metal strips holding the ribs in place. There are three metal clasps on one long side of the suitcase and internal hinges on the other long side.
On the top of the short side is a leather handle, fasted with domed metal clips and a bar.
The remains of a label is next to the handle on cream paper, printed with "...KIT STOK... / London, W.6. / 22434". On the top of the suitcase is printed in capitals in white paint "FLORENCE. E. Mc. DONALD / A. A.N.S. / A.I.F".
The interior of the suitcase is lined in cream canvas, and a single manufacturer label is on the inside lid. "C.E. KITCHING / Manufacturer and Importer of / TRUNKS, BAGS, & PORTMANTEAUS / Repairs a Speciality / 299 GEORGE STREET / SYDNEY". There are two yellow broken strings attached wth nails on either side of the internal suitcase lid.
