Beneath the scroll on an attached smaller central plaque is a brass metal emblem of the Battalion with it's colour patch below. Printed around the smaller plaque is "1939 / 1945 / VC / 6 Div".
Around the perimeter of the main plaque are the names of eight countries/cities in gold painted text - Palestine; Egypt; Libya; Greece; Crete; Syria; Darwin; New Guinea.
On the reverse is the maker name: 'J Forman, 48 Weir Road, Warragamba, 2752, NSW'. Also there are signatures: ? Gartrell; Vic Forbes; Wal Johnston; Norm Aubberson; E.Swain; Vic ?; HJ Hughes; KP South.
