Along the bottom of the painting is a quote from Rudyard Kipling, "There lay the drivers brother / with 'is 'ead between 'is 'eels".
A card beneath this is typed "PRESENTED TO / CITY OF ORANGE SUB-BRANCH R.S.S. & A.I.L.A. / BY L.E. HUMPHREY. Jan. 1958".
On the reverse of the frame is a square sticker with information on the framers "Dimond Bros. / Photo Enlargers, Picture Framers / IMPORTERS OF / MOULDINGS, PICTURES, E.P. WARE, CLOCKS, WATCHES & c.". There are two hooks and two wires between them.
