About this objectBlack timber framed print with cream surround, with a plaque beneath, titled, 'Menin Gate at Midnight' under glass. The original painting was painted by Australian artist, Will Longstaff in 1927. The painting depicts a dark cloudy sky with a large stone memorial gate in a field, and commemorates those men of the British Empire, including Australia, who died in battles of the First World War around the town.
On the reverse of the frame is text "Crawford 11/4/05".
