1. Group of brown unsaddled horses standing on sand. Bags are in the foreground, and a black cross has been added to the photograph underneath a horse. On the back of the photograph is written: "B troop, C squadron horses. This was taken when we were on the beach last time. My horse is marked where the (X) is.".
2. Group of soldiers standing and sitting outside. On back of photograph is written "A port of our troop taken after an inspection of horses etc.".
3. Camp with tents and horses in the sand and ocean in the background. On the back of the photograph is written "Photo taken whilst we were on the beach, you can see our camp and bivouac's quiet (sic) plainly, with the sea in the distance".
4. Outside scene with four soldiers depicted, two sitting on a box, one soldier looking at a set of pots and a fourth soldier bent over with a long handled tool in his hands. Tents and grass/wooden building on poles in the background. Handwritten on back, "The squadron cook house. I was cooking at the time, but have turned it in since".
